Mary and her dragon Tobby were walking a wooded path when they came across three men attempting to relieve a Prince of his ticket to the royal ball. The pair saw them off without much difficulty.
The Prince, impressed, handed Mary the deed to a small diner at the edge of his kingdom — and then, hoping to see her again, invited her to the ball and gave her his half of the ticket. So Mary now has a business to run and a very good reason to run it fast.
