A compact reader for epub and fb2 books, from the era when that combination was harder to find than it sounds.
It handles images, stylesheets, and fonts both bundled and external, and it opens onto a bookshelf with Cover Flow browsing rather than a file list. Right-to-left languages are supported — Hebrew, Arabic, Urdu, Farsi and others — provided the source file has sane paragraph formatting and a direction tag; Arabic rendering benefits noticeably from a newer Android release.
The Nook Touch support is the part worth calling out. The reader maps to the device's hardware buttons, renders fonts specifically for e-ink, turns pages quickly, and switches the library to a black-and-white mode that suits the screen. That work came out of a long stretch of poking at Nook internals, some of which is written up on the blog.
Built without any C++, so it runs on whatever architecture you point it at — ARM, x86, MIPS. Targets Android 1.5 through 3.1; this is a period piece, and it still works.
